Why Do People Hate Annuities?

    People don't hate annuities. But certain sectors of the financial community dislike annuities because of it's tax deferral and longer term commitment, i.e. they can't move it. Product competitors like mutual fund purveyors, promote the so called negative aspect of annuities to prop up their own product line.
