Insurance follows the vehicle in Ohio. Your insurance would only apply if the vehicle you were operating was uninsured. It is my understanding that most states follow this logic. If you were injured you may be compelled to seek injury coverage from your own insurance. In Michigan under their no-fault law everyone seeks protection from their own insurance first.
