    Yes.  You can make a claim on any sort of damage you would like ... Getting the claim paid is another matter altogether  (Just kidding). Seriously though comprehensive coverage is e optional coverage that pays (less the deductible) for damage that is not collision (crashing).  Common comprehensive claims are hitting an animal and glass damage but, also includes fire, theft, vandalism, earthquake, tsunami, and flood ... many things fall under comprehensive coverage. This coverage is usually fairly inexpensive and very ...comprehensive.  If you don't have it get a quote with a $100 deductible.  You may find it to be very affordable and valuable coverage.
