    It covers everything on the car, but if you don't let the insurance company know that you have modified the car in some way then you may just get the "stock" rims / hubcaps or whatever if you sustain a loss. It does vary so I'd check with your company, but I'd recommend insuring those modification separately in the "modifications to the car" section of the policy and pay the additional premium associated with it. If you don't, you may be out of luck.
