If you have forgotten which company previously insured you, your trusted insurance agent can probably help.  Many companies subscribe to a service that tracks the previous insurance company.  If that doesn’t help a check of your credit card or bank statement will probably reveal where you paid the premium.  If that doesn’t find them, check in your glove box.  Companies provide identification cards for their customers; perhaps that is where you placed it.
