As of the last time that I looked into this I believe it was forty-nine states out of fifty that required licensed drivers to have some form of automobile insurance coverage. There are three quick ways to find out your states requirements for auto insurance coverage. Most if not all states require you to carry car insurance as a condition of registering your vehicle and operating it legally on public access roads and highways.
