    Yes, if you have a car registered in Tennessee, the state requires minimum liability insurance.   Some states also allow you to self-insure if you hold a separate bank account with a minimum amount of funds.  It is up to you to determine if the state minimal coverage will be sufficient for your needs, but usually, we recommend higher levels of coverage.  If you would like additional information, please feel free to email me.
