You should consider critical illness insurance if your family medical history is predisposed to chronic health problems or diseases that run in your family throughout recent generations. As you grow older, you may have had behaviors that can lead to critical illness like tobacco additions that leave you vulnerable to respiratory problems or obesity that lends itself to a variety of health problems.

People buy critical illness insurance to protect their family against undue financial hardship if they should become diagnosed with a serious illness. People are surviving serious health conditions more often, and for more years, than in the past. At the same time, it seems that everyone has a close relative or acquaintance who has had cancer or heart disease or other serious illnesses. These are just some of the factors that compel people to buy critical illness insurance.
