Yes, there are Disability Insurance policies that someone with diabetes can get. For persons with very well controlled diabetes, you will be rated up but may be able to get a 2 to 5 year benefit. If you are unable to get that type of policy, there are graded Disability policies that some people with diabetes can get. These pay a limited benefit during the first couple years.
