How to evaluate a long term disability plan? It all comes down to the definition of what disability is. The best policies use the fewest words to define what disability is. The more words beyond that one sentence are really exceptions to the first sentence. The definition should be short and to the point. That is where you start and actually finish your evaluation. Why? because the rest of the information doesn't matter if you don't qualify or if your qualification ends after a couple years.

To evaluate long term disability insurance, you will want to look at several factors. 1. The reputation of the company offering it. 2. Whether or not you qualify for it. 3. The features, so that you get all the bells and whistles you need, and do not overpay for those you do not need. 4 The price.

All of these are very important when applying for long term disability insurance. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have additional questions or would like me to shop multiple companies to find your best price and features.
