Ask yourself these questions:  If I were to have an accident and laid up for three to six months, how would I pay my bills?  Do I have savings?  What is that savings meant to be for?  Will I be able to continue running my business?  If yo can answer these questions and still not see the need for disability insurance, then maybe you don't need it.  Most people do.

What are the benefits of having disability insurance?   The ability to continue to meet financial obligations is probably the greatest benefit as Disability insurance could be called paycheck insurance. If you get sick or injured away from work, disability insurance kicks in to provide a paycheck to help you contine to meet your obligations.

PEACE OF MIND!  When you have disability insurance, you can take comfort in knowing that you'll still have an income even if you're unable to work due to an illness or injury. And depending on the time of own occupation definition you get, you might even be able to go back to work part time or full time (in a different occupation) and still receive full benefits.
