    There is a rule of thumb that a good price to pay for disability insurance is 1-3% of their annual income for men, and 2-4% of their annual income for women. If you have poor health or are in a high risk occupation, you may pay more, but your chances of becoming disabled are also higher. Also, your price will depend on whether you are supplementing a group policy, or providing your entire coverage on your own.
