If you do not have disability insurance through your employer then you should consider disability insurance.  The chance of a disabling incident are far greater for most people than death.  Unless you have enough savings to cover at least six months pay you need to look into disability insurance.  Especially if you are the main income provider.  A great credit history and life savings can be wiped out by one disability occurrence.
