    Yes as of January 1, 2014 there is no longer exclusions for pre-existing conditions on individual (under age 65) health insurance plans in South Carolina or any other state.  Prior to that you could be on an employer group plan.

    Even on Medicare supplement insurance in South Carolina you should be able to get a policy.  Those policies have a few health questions on the application but they are mostly focused on serious conditions in the last 2 years.
