Not usually as these are two separate types of coverage. Disability insurance is an income replacement type policy designed to pay out only in a few situations based on the ability to work. Payment is based on the meeting the ability to be actively at work in your current profession.

Health insurance is used for payment of treatment for just about any condition that can occur for a person.

Health insurance pays towards services provided and disability insurance pays for the loss of income due to the inability to work.

    It depends.

If you qualify for Social Security Disability Income (SSDI) you should also qualify for Medicare. Once you have been on SSDI for two years you would normally be eligible for Medicare coverage even if you are not age 65 yet.

There are some conditions, such as renal failure, that may qualify you for immediate Medicare benefits.

No, Disability Insurance does not include Health Insurance. Disability Insurance pays the recipients a portion of their income each month after becoming disabled. The money can be used for any expenses that the benefit recipient wants to use it for, just as when they were earning their income through their jobs.
