Glaucoma is a serious illness that can lead to permanent blindness if not treated.

Glaucoma is easily treated in most patients and can be controlled with prescription eye drops.

In some cases glaucoma cannot be successfully treated with eye drops and surgery is required. Either conventional blade surgery or laser surgery may be needed to treat the condition.

Most major medical health insurance plans will cover glaucoma treatment.
