Does My Health Insurance Cover Gastric Bypass?

   It might depending on the reason for the Gastric Bypass.  Most companies will only pay for any procedure if it is medically necessary.  If the Gastric Bypass is more cosmetic and is used simply for a weight loss strategy then if may not be covered.  Check with your insurance company or have your doctor do so before agreeing to the surgery.
