    It depends on your BMI (body metric index).

    If your BMI is less than 40 you may be able to buy individual insurance.

    Employer group health insurance plans generally cannot deny coverage regardless of pre-existing conditions. 

    Your state may have an assigned risk pool, carrier of last resort, or other guaranteed issue policies.

    One of the major "Wins" of the health reform law is that major medical plans are no longer underwritten, which means regardless of Body Mass Index (Height $ Weight) or pre-existing medical conditions, all applicants are guarantee issued on plans.  So, regardless of how much you weigh, you'll still be able to pick up coverage in 2014 and beyond.
