    COBRA insurance premiums are based upon your previous employers health plan premiums. because of this, it is impossible to say how much it costs.  I can tell you however,  the premium is usually 3 to 4 times the amount you paid with your group plan.  You may be better off applying for a new individual plan (yourself or family) directly from a provider.  It most likely will be more expensive than your old group rate but much cheaper than COBRA.  

    Try shopping at www.ehealthinsurance.com  It's a really nice site with major health providers in which you can develop a plan that suites your needs.
