    Health insurance premiums will vary depending on the type of coverage you are purchasing and the number of people you are insuring (i.e. individual vs. family). 

    It will also depend whether or not your state allows insurers to decline applicants and exclude pre-existing conditions.

    In very broad average terms, you should anticipate between a few hundred dollars a month for an individual and up to a few thousand dollars per month for a family.
