    An HSA is a Health Savings Account.  If your employer offers it as a benefit, you should take advantage of it. 
    It allows you to have available for medically related needs, a set limit of pre-taxed money which is typically set aside for you through a payroll deduction.   
    Medical needs for which the HSA funds can usually be available are:  doctor, visits, physicals, surgery, eye-glasses, prescriptions, etc.
