    Yes, though they will certainly expect to coordinate benefits or engage in some recovery from any auto insurance that ends up paying on the claim.  If an uninsured motorist hits you and a lawsuit to recover damaged is pursued against that driver your health insurance carrier will quite likely be involved in trying to recover some of their expenses though this is always a more complicated and time consuming process.
