Does Home Insurance Cover A Dog Bite?

   Dog bite is a terrible problem.  It is covered by your homeowner’s policy, however, insurance companies have added pages to the policy that restrict and remove that coverage.  Many insurance companies will not write a homeowner’s policy if they know that specific breeds are present.  If a policy is written it will specifically exclude any coverage for any animal of those breeds and for any dog with a history of biting.  Additionally, they will frequently reduce the liability coverage for a dog bite.
