Since rates and coverage's very widely by location I highly recommend you contact a local agent who can review the features of your home or potential home. The agent can run calculations on the home to determine a replacement amount, review coverage's and deductible options to then help determine a premium that feeds your needs. If you go to an independent agent you would have several options from different carriers.

Every house is unique.  The cost of replacing your residence or personal property is different from any other home.  All the factors used to rate a home are specific to that home.  Some rating information, such as the fire rating, is public knowledge.  Some of the information is protected information that is reviewed by the state insurance commissioner.  Your selection of an agent is critical.  His selection of limits is also extremely important.
