Shop for a trusted insurance agent first.  Let the agent help you.  If you don’t have an agent ask friends, colleagues and neighbors for recommendations.  A good insurance agent will listen to you, provide sound financial advice and communicate clearly with you and the insurance company.  The agent will provide guidance in setting the limits of the policy.  Regardless of the premium, a policy that doesn’t cover a loss adequately is just too expensive.  Don’t fall into the trap of thinking that premium is the most important thing, proper limits are much more important.
