A dog bite should be covered under a homeowners insurance policy under the liability portion of the policy as long as.
    1) There is no dog exclusion on the policy
2)You do not have what your particular insurance carrier would classify as a vicious dog at the time you purchased the policy.
    3) Vicious dogs are not excluded
Since a dog bite is very serious and falls under liability I highly suggest you consult your agent if in fact you have a dog bite situation
