Is A Furnace Covered Under Homeowners Insurance?

    Unless the furnace is damaged by a covered peril such as a fire, then the answer is no.  Home Insurance is not a maintenance policy and is not designed to cover a breakdown due to age and general repair.  Furnaces need replaced occasionally just like your car.
