While it is difficult to imagine, the pool would be covered for damage caused by the perils named in the policy.  The most common form of pool damage would be caused by earth movement which is not a covered peril.  Although insurance policies attempt to define every event possible there are always freak events that could end up with the insurance coverage applying.

The perils covered under a homeowner’s policy are stated in the policy.  The most likely damage to a pool would be earth movement.  Earth movement is excluded in most homeowner’s policies.  It is conceivable that the pool could be damaged by a covered peril.  Contact your agent if you have a specific question about pool coverage.
