Homeowners insurance is designed to cover sudden and accidental losses except what is excluded. Homeowners insurance covers your dwelling, personal property, other structures and it provides liability coverage. There are several optional coverages available as well so make sure you have a full understanding of your policy. Flood damage is not covered by homeowners insurance but you can purchase separate Flood insurance.
