Your homeowner’s insurance will cover the damage caused by a water leak within the structure of the house.  It doesn’t pay to repair the water leak.  Much has been written about water damage and as a result there are many amendments to the homeowner’s policies.  The issue is mold.  If you have a water leak, get it repaired.  If there is structural damage notify your agent.
