Your homeowners insurance will cover your wedding ring if the value of the ring does not exceed the amount of insurance you have for jewelry watches and furs in your homeowners policy.  For most people the base amount of insurance is $2500.  If the value of your wedding ring exceeds that, you should contact your agent and get your policy amended to a higher value.
