I am not aware of any life insurance policies that pay triple for murder. Life insurance companies are very careful to prevent murder as a way of someone trying to collect on someone else's life insurance. And if murder occurs randomly, it pays the beneficiary the full face amount, as normal.

That is an interesting question! I know of not one single company that pays anything extra for death that results from a crime. In fact, I know far more that won't pay if the death was a result of criminal activity on the deceased's part. Insurance companies are very careful, and guarded against paying for anything that was illegal. If the deceased was a random victim, they would pay up like any other death. I hope that helps, thanks for asking!

I have had two clients murdered. Neither received more than the standard death benefit. There is often a more thorough investigation before the death claim is paid when there is a homicide. It is illegal in most states to profit from murder in particular. According to the TV shows the beneficiary of the life insurance is always a prime suspect.
