   By work I assume you mean does it pay the death benefit to the beneficiary if the insured dies while the policy is in force.
   
   Yes. It does. Universale life is Flexable premium life and it's usually not guaranteed to last your entire lifetime without an increasing premium. So even though it works, it may not be ideal for everyone.
