    No, RDR (retail distribution review) does not affect life insurance sales. It bans commission based selling for pensions, Isas and unit trusts by financial advisors in the UK. Life insurance, critical illness insurance, and private medical insurance plans do not fall under the ruling of the retail distribution review.
