    If the policy you applies for requests a paramedical with blood or urine then yes, they will test for THC and other drugs.  Even if they do not request those procedures there is a question on the application regarding illegal drugs.  A misleading answer to that question could result in a claim being denied if you die due to a drug related incident within two years of policy issue.

    Life insurance that is fully underwritten will involve a blood test, urine sample plus the taking of vital signs all performed by a paramedical examiner. With this information, a life insurer will test for many things which include various chemicals such as THC. The statements made on the application are also important.

    In this situation, assuming everything else is normal, a carrier would likely offer smoker rates.

The titles and descriptions of these three products are: Future Wealth Builder" (a flexible premium deferred life annuity), "Future Income Plus" (a single premium deferred annuity), and "Guaranteed Income" (a single premium immediate annuity).

    Unless something has changed recently with their testing protocol, no State Farm does not test for THC.
