    In Canada, life insurance licensing is regulated provincially. A Life and Accident & Sickness license is required.

    Applicant are required to complete a Life Insurance Qualifying Program (LLQP), which requires 100+ hours of study. Once this course is completed and the final exam passed applicants may write the provincial license exam.

    Once the applicants have successfully passed the licensing exam, they may apply for a Life and Accident and sickness license.
