It is important to have long term care insurance if you have assets that you want to protect, if you have loved ones who want the reassurance that you will be cared for if they cannot do it, if you want choices in where to receive your long term care services, and if you have the income to pay long term care premiums. If you have no assets to protect or do not have the income to pay for long term care insurance, you probably should not buy long term care insurance.
