    Long Term Care Insurance generally covers skilled nursing care, intermediate care, custodial care, and home health care. The services and items that are covered are administration of medication, changing surgical dressings, therapy, general rehab, custodial care, meals, and other services provided by social workers, nurses, respite workers, live in caregivers, companions, and housekeepers. Sometimes LTC insurance will pay for training for caregivers, modifications to the home (such as wheelchair ramp), transportation to adult day care, and other related items and services.
