Can I Qualify For Medicare If I Am Disabled?

   If you are receiving Social Security Disability for a period of two years, you will be qualified for Medicare.  You should receive your Medicare card in the mail when you qualify.  If you are not on Social Security Disability then you will not qualify for Medicare.  You can however enroll in a Marketplace (exchange) plan under the new Affordable Care Act.  These plans will take effect Jan 1st for those who enroll in a plan before December 31st.
