    If your wife is age 65 and has paid into Medicare taxes for at least 10 years throughout her life, she can get Medicare. If she was a full time homemaker, she can get Medicare based on your contributions. She will need to wait until she is 65, even if you retire and start getting Medicare before she turns 65.
