AARP medicare supplement plans are insured through United Healthcare. Plans C & F cover both the Part A and Part B deductibles (part a - $1,216 in 2014 & part b - $147 in 2014).

Every Medigap plan covers the Part A deductible at 100% except for plans A, K, and L (plan A does not cover the deductibles at all, plan K covers 50% of the deductible, and plan L covers 75% of the deductible). The plans themselves are standardized meaning a given medigap plan from company abc features the exact same benefits as the one from company xyz. Plan premiums, rating methods, rate increase history, and other factors are important to focus on when comparing plans.

Consult with an experienced Medicare supplement broker to learn more about the various plan options available - we can compare and quote many carriers to help you determine the program that will best serve your needs and budget.

It depends on which AARP Medicare Supplement plan you have.  Also, all the Medicare Supplement plans cover the exact same benefits.  So for instance a AARP Medicare Supplement Plan F is exactly the same as any other carrier.  The only difference is the monthly premium.  Plan F does cover the Medicare Part A & Part B deductible.  There are many other plans out there that may fit your needs.

Contact an independent agent that specializes in Medicare Supplement insurance and they will be able to show you all the plans available to you.  They will save you a lot of time and money.
