    If you receive Social Security benefits at age 65, Medicare automatically starts at age 65. Medicare will automatically enroll you in Part A and Part B.

    If you are not yet receiving Social Security benefits, you can start still start receiving Medicare Part A and B, or you can keep Part A and opt out of Part B until your group coverage ends.
