    Infections acquired during a hospital stay are a growing problem. Due to the sterile environment, only the strongest "bugs" (viruses and bacteria) can survive.

    Hospital infections are considered just like any other illness and will be covered by Medicare. With that in mind, hospitals may not bill Medicare if they readily admit their liability.
