If you have a referral from your doctor, Medicare will cover a comprehensive pulmonary rehabilitation program for moderate to very severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The rehab may occur in a doctor's office or a hospital outpatient setting that offers such programs.
If you get the services in a doctor's office you pay 20% of the Medicare approved amount. If as a hospital outpatient, you pay a copay for each session. You also pay the Part B deductible.
