Medicare does not cover any type of gym membership, YMCA or otherwise.  There are however some Medicare Advantage Plans that offer "Silver Sneaker".  Silver Sneakers will pay for your membership in the Y or some other facilities, depending on your area.  The AARP United Healthcare Medicare Supplement also offers Silver Sneakers in some area's.

No. Medicare does not pay for YMCA or any other gym membership.

However, SOME Medicare health insurance plans DO offer gym memberships as an extra perk. It is common with many Medicare Advantage Plans (Medicare Part C) and some people who have original Medicare have a Silver Sneakers gym membership included in the price of their Medicare supplement.
