   Medicare offers limited care for treatment in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or nursing home.
   
   You must have a medical need for being in the home. Admittance to the nursing home must follow a qualified stay (at least 3 days) as an inpatient in a hospital.
   
   If Medicare approves your claim your Medicare supplement policy will pay their portion of the approved claim.
