    Medicare will pay for breast reduction to relieve the pain caused by the conditions of macromastia or breast hypertrophy. A reduction mammoplasty will be OK'd by Medicare if medically necessary as shown by non-surgical methods failing to alleviate symptoms, and the condition being present for at least 6 months.
