    Medigap covers mental health benefits that are approved by Medicare but not paid by Medicare due to deductibles and coinsurance. Once Medicare approves the claim they send it to your Medigap carrier for them to pay their portion.

    If you have Medigap plan F, your supplement carrier will pay 100% of the remaining balance approved by Medicare.

    Yes, Medigap Supplements cover outpatient mental health treatment, Doctor or Specialist Office Visits and other Medicare approved services, subject to certain limitations. Plan F is the most comprehensive, while other plans may require satisfying a deductible, co-insurance or co-pays. Inpatient care is covered under Medicare Part A, up to a 190 day lifetime maximum.
