If you are eligible for premium-free Medicare Part A, you must have both Part A and Part B to continue to receive TRICARE. Once you start receiving Part A and B, you start receiving TRICARE benefits under TRICARE for Life (TFL). There is no advantage for most TRICARE recipients to enroll in Medicare Part D because TFL's drug benefits are so comprehensive.
