Medicare supplement plans premiums can vary from company to company. It's important to remember that coverage for medicare supplement plans (medigap plans) have been standardized by the Federal government. This means ABC's Plan F offers the same basic benefit as XYZ's plan F. It's important to speak with a broker who represents a number of companies, because paying more for a medigap plan does not mean you are getting more, it just means you are paying too much.

Medigap premiums vary by age, zip code, plan, tobacco use, gender and carrier.

It is not unusual at all to see premium rates for Medigap plan F have a 100% spread from high to low.

When you pay more you don't get more, you simply paid too much and who needs to do that?
